Matt's been sculpting sand for about twelve years and professionally since 2001. Matt has been commissioned by an array of companies and organizations including, Atlantis Hotels, Nickelodeon, The PGA Tour, W Hotels, and The Curacao Department of Tourism. And like most sand sculptors, he has won numerous sand sculpting awards.

In addition, he has sculpted sand in Rockefeller Plaza on three separate occasions leading to appearances on NBC's ‘Today in New York ' and The Today Show'. He has also been seen on Good Morning America, Live With Regis and Kelly and has been a featured guest on NPR's Creatively Speaking radio program.

His work and/or his Can You Dig It Sand Tools have been featured in ‘O' Magazine, The New Yorker, MAD, Bride, and Parents' Magazines to name a few.

Matt is also the designer of Can You Dig It Sand Tools and The Can You Dig It Sand Tools Super Deluxe Sand Sculpting Kit, the first and only mass produced patented tools for sculpting sand at the beach. While they have won some of the highest awards in the toy industry, their greatest recognition came in 2005 when Can You Dig It Sand Tools were selected by the Parent's Choice Foundation as one of the Best Twenty Five Toys of the Last Twenty Five Years.

A wood restorer by trade, Matt owns and operates FRW, LLC, a wood restoration company in New York City that has completed major restoration projects at Radio City Music Hall , Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, The Federal Reserve Bank and The 42nd Street Library and many other area landmarks. His company is listed in the Landmarks Conservancy Restoration Directory.
